Dylan chong
Roles: Board Member and Primary Secretary
Dylan has been a huge fan of Lindy Hop and Charleston since 2018.
He was absolutely hooked the moment he heard the delicious, swinging jazz from Lindy YouTube videos.
The improvisation of tricky footwork in Lindy and Charleston is what Dylan loves to learn the most, along with the awesome, friendly community of dancers.
You’ll see him dancing in vintage style clothing at socials and occasionally at bands around Wellington!
Andrew Bredenkamp
Roles: Board Member
Andrew has been a music enthusiast his whole life, and a dancer since 2019.
After being behind instruments for most of his life, he finally made the move to the other side of the stage to join in the dancing.
Since then he has found his place in swing dancing, specialising in lindy hop and blues.
Kerry Seitz
Roles: Board Member, Primary Treasurer, Membership Coordinator, and Code of Conduct Committee Coordinator
Kerry found Lindy Hop through a love of jazz music. He was never much of a dancer before, but after attending a Salsa dancing lesson with some friends, he thought: "Hey, this dancing thing isn't so bad." From there, his interest in jazz led him to join the Swing Dancing club at his university in 2011, and he has since had many wonderful opportunities to learn from some amazing dancers, mostly in the USA.
Along with Lindy Hop, Kerry also enjoys Charleston and Balboa, and he dabbles in Blues dancing too. While he started off dancing the Lead role, he greatly enjoys both Leading and Following.
Kerry views each dance as a chance to create something new with his partner by communicating with and responding to each person's unique expression of these dance styles! Whether a seasoned dancer or a complete beginner, each person brings a different perspective to explore, so don't be shy in asking Kerry for a dance!
